Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Monday

"Everything passes, and as I flow with this river of highs and lows, I become calm. I trust my experience and the life force guiding me." - Ruthie Albert

I am still feeling like I am adrift. All my tools in my tool box of life don't seem to be working.

So, for starters, I decided to do paperwork. I posted debit card payments to the checkbook register. Now I have to enter that information into my Excel budget plan. I feel I spent too much at the grocery store but then I only bought what I needed.

Don't worry, be happy!

Yeah, right.

I did clean up the kitchen as in putting away the clean dishes and then loading the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I wiped down counter tops and cleaned off the top of the stove. We all ready have some spilled stuff on the grates. Most of it has come off but I feel a little more elbow grease is needed in some of the areas. Now all that is left is to mop the floor. At least I got some kind of housework done.

My time out of the apartment was to walk over a load of wash. The laundromat was hopping. I guess plenty of folks still believe Monday is wash day. I wonder where that to do came from. Anyway, I got a load of towels and wash cloths done, some reading in my book, caught up with an acquaintance that was there, and handled one phone call. It just amazes me at how well I can multi-task. Oh gag me!

Today is sunny and warm. It feels good to have the slider door open. I put out some seed for the birds and they are enjoying that. I did move my little pot of pansies out to my front doorstep to put some color at our door. I'm always worried about putting anything too fancy because someone may decide they like it and help themselves. I need to remember that I have put plenty of safety spells around our home so I don't think anyone would bother my stuff.

I do know the Bible thumpers don't stop by. I guess Hector and Igor (gremlins) scare them off. Then of course, there is Baxter (gargoyle) and Emerald the dragon guarding our front door.

I guess I had better get going since it is 3:03 p.m. and I still need to wash the kitchen floor and then get ready for my meeting tonight. I hope everyone has had a wonderful day.
