No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"The only people with whom you should try to get even with are those who have helped you." - John E. Southard

My morning began at o dark thirty. Why I was awake is beyond me. There I was wide awake and Bailey knew it. He began with the kitty kisses to my nose, then nuzzling with his nose, ending with purring in my ear. Yup, I really am awake.

My clock said 6:15 a.m.

Egads, but that is early.

Of course, I remember the day when I was up at 5 or 5:30 a.m. every day to get my meditation time in followed by one and a half hours of exercising. Those days are long gone.

Since we had an appointment at 11:30 a.m. I decided to meditate (I've been very lax about this) to get my day off to a good start. Bailey was not happy about this since in his little kitty mind, I need to go prepare him breakfast and refresh his water bowl.

After meditating I cleaned up and put my game face on for the day. I did take care of Bailey's needs and took care of feeding and watering the outdoor birds. Then I did my chairperson business to the point I couldn't do any more and then I took time to have some breakfast myself.

.I love it when we get good stuff at the food banks. This week I received a 32 ounce container of two percent cottage cheese. My breakfast then was a half a cup of cottage cheese, a cup of fresh strawberries, and two tablespoons of flaxseed meal sprinkled on the top. Very tasty I might add and good for me since I get a serving of dairy and one of fruit.

Later in the day, I went with a friend to another friend's open house and birthday celebration of his wife. It was very nice and fun. The house is lovely and lots of outdoor space. I was very impressed. I also met some of my friend's family and it's nice to have a face with a name.

Back home, I took the day easy. I feel like I have done enough for one day. Michael prepared buffalo burgers. Yes, this was from the food bank. Since we are out of mayonnaise, we used horse radish and it was very tasty.

With all my activity, I found myself falling asleep in my chair. I guess I had better go to bed. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
