Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

It Has Happened

It has finally happened! Rain came to our burg either last night or early this morning. I haven't heard how much but the ground is wet. Predicted was .2 tenths of an inch but still it is some. I know some new shoots of green grass will appear soon.

While out walking there was a light breeze which was nice as it kept my hot flashes to a minimum. I could smell the clean smell of the air and the wet ground. Then there was the odor of the road workers grinding up the street for more work. It was a stringent smell of which I can't put a name to it but it wrinkled my nose. Plus, there was the fragrance of road grime from the road along with smells of oil and rubber that have built up over these long dry months.

Still, the change of weather is nice from the many days of sunshine. Clouds are overhead and look like they could release a few more rain drops.

Going along I found this photo opp and couldn't resist.

Knocked Right Out of Their Shoes

Whomever this was, a cup of Starbuck's coffee knocked them right out of their flip flops. I didn't see a body near by so I have no idea what happened to them.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker these days. I will have a cup of Mr. F's coffee once in awhile but mostly I like a good cup of tea.

With the way the weather is, I think I am going to make up a pot of soup for tonight's dinner. I found a head of cabbage and I'm sure I can find some other items to add to the pot.

The feeling of so so today is that I had a major melt down yesterday afternoon. It is so hard acting as if when you just don't feel like it.

I'm coming to the conclusion that my current medications are not working. I'm scared about changing medications because of the reaction I had after the last change but something has to be done. Plus I'm worried about new medications messing with my blood sugar and weight. Things I will need to talk to the pdoc with when I get to see him.

I called his office yesterday and today but he doesn't have any openings until my appointment later in the month. Gak. I have left two messages with the case manager to see if the Morro Bay office has any openings but she has yet to call me back.

What is one to do if this was a real emergency? This is what to expect when working with the county.

Oh well, I need to read my quote and remember today is a good day.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
