Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Things are holding steady today and I'm glad about that.

The sunshine is back but a light rain is predicted for Sunday. However it looks like it is going to be south of the burg though I hope we get a little.

Learned something new today. As I was walking up this one street, workmen were spraying something around and in the man holes to the sewer lines. The guy doing the spraying was in a hazmat suit and with breathing apparatus.

I spoke to another guy as to what was going on and he told me that they were spraying a sealant on the concrete around the openings to protect them from the gases from the sewer. Apparently after so long, the gases will break down the concrete. I never knew that.

Windows are open in the apartment. The smell of the air is heavenly. I love how rain makes everything fresh.

On today's walk, I brought the three pound weight again. I had given myself a day off to rest my sore biceps. It was enough that I was able to do two sets of bicep curls and my muscles didn't complain like they did that first day.

I still haven't heard from the p-doc's office. I am not letting this get me down. I'm glad I am still getting myself out to walk and now adding the bicep curl to the routine. I feel that doing what exercising I can is helping my mental health and making my body feel better. I have never been one to sit back and do nothing nor do I expect to just rely on medications to take care of my situation. I have lots of tools to use, I just need to remember to use them.

Talk around the apartment is what to have to munch on during Super Bowl. We have begun to make a list so we can go shopping tomorrow. Then do what preparation we can so there is little to do on Sunday except watch the game.

I still can't believe the game is being held outdoors. Is money behind this? And, what is the hype between New York City and New Jersey. I mean, the game is being played in New Jersey. Why is New York City making such a big deal about it? Ah, let me guess, money.

Okay cool cats, I'm signing off. Have a grand day.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
