Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Holding Steady I Think

Woke up early yesterday with a nervous stomach. So I said to self, "Self let's get dressed and go to the early morning services at the Episcopalian church I like." So, I got up and went.

On the way there on this one hilltop I saw this view of Morro Rock in the fog.

A Foggy Morro Rock

It felt good to go to a place where other than the sermon and the changing of the season, the words are all the same. Although I cried during the whole service but I felt a calming of my soul though it hurts like hell.

Later in the morning went down to one side of the Rock that faces the bay and here is what I found.

Looking at Montana de Oro

This is looking at the state park Montana de Oro. Love those clouds.

Here is another photo from a different direction of the Park.

Clouds Over Montana de Oro

Though later in the day the rain came but I was glad to get these sights.

It was awfully wet this morning and I didn't really feel like walking. I had a banana and a cup of tea and read in my book for awhile.

Then the sun came out and by then I felt like walking. It just amazes me how the weather can change around here.

Anyway, I saw these two turkey vultures. I had hoped to get a better close up but by the time I was ready to capture their likeness they flew up into this tree.

Two Vultures Hanging Out

I am trying to be calm and not be provoked into an argument. I have made arrangements to go to a meeting tonight.

I have things to do around the home.

And I am grateful for:

Rain
Sunshine
Getting out to walk
Taking a shower and putting on some of my girly stuff
Talking to other Al-Anon members
The small things the mister has done for me this morning
Friends
and my on-line friends
Oh, let's not forget Bailey the Cat

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
