For those of you who have not read one of my field journals before, note that I welcome comments and questions via the "Comments" link at the top and bottom of each journal entry.

As I write this, I don't know what kind of Internet access I'll have while in the field. I may be able to post as often as needed, although I may have to write offline entries and post them in batches as access allows.

In any case, feel free to make use of the "Comments" link for dialogue and I'll respond either in the same "Comments" box or in a journal post, depending on the situation.
