Plain Banter
. . . lies about science fiction, and everything else.

When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer

My Aunt Ann's house

My parents have a house in Port St. Lucie FL, and do the snowbird thing (summer in NYC, winter in FL). Their FL house survived the recent hurricanes with some damage, but nothing too severe.

I have two sets of aunts & uncles that also have houses in Port St. Lucie. One set was OK, but the other lost their house. The roof came off and it's a total loss. They'll be staying in my mom's house while they try to get theirs rebuilt, but that could take some time with the sort of shortage of qualified building contractors you can expect in Florida in the next few months.

Sorry, Aunt Ann and Uncle Casey.
