Plain Banter
. . . lies about science fiction, and everything else.

When the writer becomes the center of his attention, he becomes a nudnik. And a nudnik who believes he's profound is even worse than just a plain nudnik. -- Isaac Bashevis Singer

College

Yesterday, my oldest daughter, a high school senior, received an early acceptance from one of the colleges she applied to. My younger daughter is four grades behind, so she'll be starting college just when her older sister finishes.

Man, I'm going to have eight (or more) years of college to pay for now. I guess I shouldn't expect to save much money over the next few years.

Maybe I ought to start planning that blockbuster novel now.
