A "G-Rated Journal" That Even My Mother Can Read (because she does!)

Effervescence is a state of mind. It's about choosing to bring sunshine to the day.
Every person I meet matters.

If it's written down, I know it (If it's not written down, I don't know it)
If it's color-coded, I understand it (If it's not color-coded, I don't understand it)

Getting Ready for the Adventure(s)

Fri Jun 16 - How insane in love with my friends am I?

Today I've purchased my airline tickets to fly to Minnesota for a camping event in Wisconsin, with several hundred of my closest-haven't-met-them-yet-friends and a handful of my camped-with-them-once-friends. I also have my rental car reserved so that I can get back to the airport.

I have my "who's picking me up from the airport when I arrive" all arranged, and I'll be helping her pack and schlep the next day. I'm set to help the camp-mom out with everything, because she happened to twist her ankle last weekend. I've confirmed with the organizers that it's okay to have my pre-registration postmarked today (the deadline for pre-reg). I've got my paperwork done, check written, and delivered to the post office.

I still need to go over the event activities, in case there's some classes or bardic events I want to participate in, and to figure out the best time to be a volunteer for various things around the site.

(Oh, and did you see the new cute little map I threw in the side navigation bar? The little arrows on the map show such locations as where my college was, my home shire, my Mom & sister's town, my home barony, my work place, my studio, my grandparents' neighborhood, my household members' homes. Yup, I really do zoom all over creation, and Natalya's song just is that much more applicable to my life!)

I've also got my overnight bag ready in the car for my tonight/tomorrow adventure, so it's not just SCA friends for whom I'll run all over creation. Tonight I'm seeing my Mom perform in "Arsenic and Old Lace" at the theatre where I run their website.

I'm staying overnight either at Mom's or my sister's, then having brunch with the Grandparents in the morning Saturday. Then it's off to a welcome-home party in the afternoon for a friend who's been in England on graduate studies. Then it's off to a surprise birthday party for two friends dor dinner. Swing home, clean house, sleep, and then Sunday includes a ballet recital in which my roomie is performing, followed by a birthday party for her at our place.

I imagine I won't be able to check in with you all until next week. So enjoy your weekend, and Shabbat Shalom my lovelies.

Today's Blessing That I'm Thankful For: Teffan, my organizing over email buddy. You rock, my dear.
