Met with Jenn today, counting down the meeting times we have left at Lulu's before she starts her new job (yay for the job!). She gifted me with a ton of books that I said I'd pass on to the Simi Library - whatever we didn't want, that is, since she assured me there were several fantasy/sci fi books in the group.

Well. I got sci fi, Nietsche, physics, pressed fairies, cats, feng shui, chocolate, painting, medieval history and romance. SO many books that I haven't read. My elder son got most of the sci fi and all of the F&SF & Asimov's mags. Younger son got a few select YA novels, but will most likely leech onto the books in elder son's room. I got a ton of neato stuff...Umberto Eco, et al. Blessed, that's what I am. A busy woman this summer - that's a lot of dense reading (perfect for bedtime, though - and perhaps the beach).

We culled enough (from 3 bags, 3 boxes) to eliminate 2 bags and one box (the biggest one, of course). Not too shabby, eh?

Friends. They are the best. Jenn, however, is the best of the best. I don't know what I'd do without her in my life.
