Another Day another buck three eighty

I couldn't think of a subject so I reused my late father in laws favorite saying. I am at work and almost caught up. It is funny, during the week it normally doesn't seem like I have a lot of work, but let me be out several days and my desk is piled up-or actually my email.

Last night was a quiet night. SO found out that he is not to return to work for some time. The hospital released him to "Home" not to normal activity. He found out when he called our doctor and the doctor basicly said "why are you calling me-no you need to stay out of work, especially with the heat spell DC is having right now. You will be right back in the hospital if you push it now." Oops. Now to figure out how he's going to get paid and how we are going to pay bills. It will work out, it always does. We just have to take a deep breath on this roller coaster ride. His manager is very helpful. It surprised everyone that he was hospitalized, though they could tell he was not quite up to par. He will get better.

It may sound funny, but, I don't operate very well without him. Even though I may complain (I know ALOT) about some of his behavior, he is my support, my anchor. When we plan to be apart it is easier to deal with-he has had to travel for work and I look at those times as a break/breather. It is the unexpected separation that causes me to lose it. I use to be very self sufficient. I need to get some of that back since statistics state that he is more likely to die first. Oh well, another growth project to work on.

I actually picked up my crochet hook yesterday. I recieved my Crochet World magazine. In it was an article on dyeing wool by various methods. The following patterns used the died wool. I don't have the space to dye wool and I cannot use pure wool on my skin, but the pattern for the shawl was very pretty. It was done in 'forest woodland' type colors-muted but pretty. I am going to try the pattern out in pastel baby yarns-I think. I really liked the forest colors. I do need to crochet a couple more hat/scarf sets though and do need to use the baby yarn for some of that.
Time to think that through and really use the yarns-have to plan the sets out. After this year, I am going to plan around teaching and meeting with the ladies instead of gung ho charity projects. Maybe make more friends that way. Charity projects will come along with that I am sure.

That is it for now. Talk to you later.
