Finally done

No not the marriage-that is a work in progress (they never tell you that growing up-the Cinderalla story is 'and they lived happily ever after' yeah right!). But the baby afghan. My daughter called about it too. I told her I had alot of trouble getting into it this time. I think that I need to get a crochet area truly organized before I start a new project-but my crochet area became a garden area. Which he hasn't taken care of which he really wanted. Now he's given up on and said we need to really plan it for next year. Honestly, I don't think that we can grow a garden indoors where we are, we get alot of afternoon sun-too much. The herbs I tried to grow dried out too fast and became too leggy. I don't want to really garden, although I wouldn't mind having a couple of plants. I really wanted that area for crochet. and for just sitting and relaxing.

Last night was a quiet night. He made veal cutlets and a salad-he asked me if he should fry or bake the cutlets after he had breaded them. I always go for baked but I forgot that he had dipped them in egg and in breading. They didn't work out quite right. I don't know why he didn't look it up in on of the cook books, he knows better now-they were edible.

I did thank him for a behavior change-no smarmy remarks from me being on the computer Monday night, no backlash at all. Apparently that was the behavior change he wanted me to acknowledge right away on Tuesday night. I told him I meant to and I was sorry I didn't. (but should I have to?) I also told him that I will need to be on the computer tonight, not online. Since he is working from home, he made the comment about making sure the home computer is hooked back up to the internet because you don't know if you'll need to. Well, I will want to be writing on my book-I will not be doing research.

I have decided to continue in the line I am now. I will probably need to go back later and work on my character, but I want to see where this story goes. It is funny, I thought I was working on a 'clean' romance, but it is turning into a mystery/drama/crime story. Not my doing, just the way the story is coming out. (the first one I tried writing and still have somewhere in longhand draft-started was the sameway) I guess I am not writing romances.

Work was pleasant-very surprising-almost like Christmas. My boss gave me a small box of chocolates and a BB&T gift card $25. Then took me out for lunch.-The out for lunch was arranged by his boss for all of us secretaries in the division. This is the first time that I have recieved tangible items for 'professional assistants day' in the 3 years I have been here.
