Short workday

I am going to my primary care doctory today. The pain in my side has gotten progressively worse over the weekend. the only pain med really working on it is Tylenol 3 (with coedine) and I don't have any more. Pain ranges from right front below rib cage round to my back below rib cage-movement is difficult to do-holding my arm against it helps, but really makes doing things difficult.

Brought Sweetie to the vet on Saturday. Passed with flying colors. She was a calm kittie in her carrier-it's a dog carrier meant for long trips-hubby spent $35 on it (shocked me!) Not one of the hard plastic types, but soft with plenty of net holes and a side that rolls up so she can see out or rolls down if quiet is needed. Sweetie was the only cat not yowling and meowing like crazy. She just crouched and looked out-no hissing or growling either-didn't even mind when the puppy bulldog came over! When we were called, I lifted the carrier up and unzipped it. She slowly walked out and hung close to me. Let me pet her, mewed once then slowly sniffed around. Let us weigh her with no problem. Vet said good weight. Small chip on one of her front teeth-appears to have been before put in shelter. Didn't feel any internal problems, etc. Shots up to date, spent a good 25 minutes with us. Really wasn't a fan of my idea of bringing cat outside with harness since cat seems to have been indoor cat and no problems now. By the time we were done, Sweetie was ready to jump off table-nope, not allowed. No problem getting back into carrier. We had to wait for paperwork, still no problem. Got back home, she got out. We left carrier where it had been, she's gotten into it a couple of times, so no bad juju. She is now letting Hubby pat her and going up to him when he calls. She jumps on bed and sleeps with us at night-between our legs. I guess she knows she's one of the family, finally.

I didn't even do any crocheting this weekend, but I am seeing the afghan in my mind. It will be beautiful!
