back from scare

Sorry for not posting for a couple of days, I know you all wait on baited breathe for the next installment of my oh so interesting life. But hubby decided to cause a little excitement in my dull working day on Monday. (I wrote it that way on purpose!)

There I was, minding my own business, unpacking two shipments of toner, and inventorying the same when my desk phone rang. I was across the room the first time it rang and I didn't see who called, but there was not message. The second time it started ringing, I made it to my desk in time to see the number on the display-it was my husband's work number. I picked up but not quick enough; so I called back. "I hurt-my right arm, my chest." He was sobbing.
"Get your manager now! I'll be right up." I heard him call for his manager-her office is right next to his cubicle-and she is attentive to her employees. I hung up the phone, and called my manager-"my husband is having arm and chest pains,.""Go take care of him." I was locking up my desk. "I was unpacking the toner shipment""GO!" By the time I made it to my husband's desk, he was gone-I tried asking a coworker of his, but then someone else said-manager took him to health unit. I had to get directions for the shortest way-straight down that hallway to the elevator and down-by the time I got to the elevator, the manager had brought it back up for me. She escorted me to the health unit so that I wouldn't get tied up "signing in". Apparently I was flushed enough that the nurse was worried for me. But I was fine-What was wrong with Hubby? The chest pains were not "elephant on chest" type but the "hard to breathe like you just took the pt test in the army and finished the run at top speed" OK, then just put oxygen. 911 was called, they came-can't take his wheel chair-hubby almost refused to go to er. Wheel chair stayed in health unit, we went in ambulance. No heart attack. End result-lowered dilantin level, and fancy name for pinched nerve in neck.

Tuesday I stayed home with him because we weren't sure what doctor wanted him to do. Doctor wants chest CAT scan redone, and couple of other tests. Wednesday-I get severe migraine-my body response to the stress.

Today I come into work, and all the toner is put away. Up and gone. I am in no mind to really get at it. I have tried to redo some things. but mind will not settle. but now have to look at something. talk later.
