A New Month

It is February already. DC area federal offices are under a "liberal leave policy, unscheduled telework policy". Since I have been out sick so much, I am here. I decided, no liberal leave for me. I can catch up on end of year filing and new year labels in peace and quiet, I hope!!

There is an icy drizzle going on, but the weather is not too bad right now. My only concession to the weather is that I am wearing jeans-nice ones, but not dress pants!!

DH and I talked a bit last night about the job situation. Management put out an annoucement yesterday looking for someone to take a detail to do my job-my boss gave me 2 minutes heads up. But, if I am not out sick anymore, they won't need that person. I have to submit my doctor's statement to the government-don't think that there is any doubt of my previous illness, now they are under control.

Doctor did say that if employer continues to push-medical retirement is a valid option but I really don't want to go that way. First, my pay would be cut too dramaticaly. If we were in Illinois we would be able to make it with no problem, but here it would be too tight. Second, I only have 6 years (little less)till I am eligable for full retirement.

So, it is bite the bullet time. I will need to be here sick or not. I found out that my boss came in to work for 4 months sick. I wonder how many people she got sick in that time!
