How we remember things

I am finding it funny on how two people remember the same day/time differently. Last night DH and I were talking about the sweater I want to knit for him. What I thought was the sweater he had chosen, he said he hadn't because I had said that I did not know how to do cables and it may be hard. The whole sweater is cables-looks like a honeycomb. I remember telling him that I have to learn to do cables and I would have to get help to size the sweater pattern up to his size. He said that he doesn't want to pick a pattern that is going to aggravate me. HUH? That I am a perfectionish when it comes to knitting/crocheting-I agree-I will rip it out. And then he said that the sweater I crocheted for him, that I designed, he doesn't wear because I didn't like the way the sleeves turned out and he didn't want to remind me of my "failure." What? I told him that he had told me that the stitch design was to girly. He doesn't remember that. (he had picked out the stitch and I showed him how it was turning out). So I told him that we find it this weekend and he try it on again. And I am going to keep my mouth shut. I had ripped that sweater out 3 times to get the sizing correct for him. I don't care for the collar-but it works. Why would I not want him to wear it?

Tonight I am going to the yarn store meeting. I have knitting needles, yarn and a pattern book. I also have the scarf I made. I am going to have to buy a cable needle, and I am going to find a pattern with cables on it to work. I am using baby yarn that I had laying around. Maybe find a baby blanket to make-not that I know anyone having a baby, but who knows what will show up.

I worked on DD blanket this weekend. Starting from scratch-again. I am working their last name into the area that will hang over the foot of the bed. I am using post stitches letters-black on a gray background. It is looking pretty, but lots of black and gray balls of yarn. DH didn't understand why I couldn't just carry-some places it would be too long. Yarn does get tangled up and have to be untangled every few rows. Cat gets upset cause she can't sit next to me!
