almost weekend

Happy Mother's Day to those of you who care for little ones or who have in the past-whether they are your own or steps, you are a mother and don't forget that with the love and care you give!

The weekend is starting calmly for me. Boundaries are in place and it is working oh so well. Thank you dear friends for your listening. And TT, I will be picking up the additional meds to help with the headaches-I am calling them sinus migraines!

Tonight we are going out to eat, and it should be nice. DH wheelchair was repaired yesterday, so he is in a better mood. There is still work waiting on it, but the repair specialist that works on the programing was out sick so that will be done another day, and the front wheels have to be replaced when they come in.

I will be finishing up the application for the job I am trying for this weekend. I am not extremely hopeful, but it can't hurt to try. And on Monday I will be asking for additional work. I just have to finish a small task and then I am done with what I have.

I did receive a work compliment-we are undergoing a yearly review, I was not at my normal desk-covering for the detailee who is covering for the normal secretary. When I received a phone call from the Distribution Analyst needing certain travel documents. I told her that the file cabinet was open and she should be able to get the files from there. She complemented me on how easy it was to read the files and find them. Yup, that I can do very well!! Filing! Yuck! (I try to minimize how often and how long it takes me so organizing that area is a must!!)

I am calm. I have over $30 of $50 saved. I am working towards a savings account of my own. Hey, he has active credit cards in his own name, can't see why I can't have a savings account. (the credit cards that were in my name were opened to pay for stuff for him-like the lift in the van for his old wheelchair. Still owe mucho dinero on it and sometimes he talks about me getting more money on that loan-NOPE!)

Somehow, it feels a little off, but I don't feel like I am sneaking it-it is mainly change from my purse. I empty it out at work periodically and it adds up. Oh and $20 that a co-worker (the one that really remembers my birthday every year!) gave me. She wouldn't mind at all-she switched from gift cards to cash when she heard how often Dh acted up. I vent to her occaisionally. Sometimes good feedback and she doesn't talk to anyone here. She lets me know when I am going off wrong at work too.
