ITS A GAME!!!

Yup that is all it is!!

Work that is. They are playing games and now that I recognize it fully and my competitive spirit is aroused, well, they will not win!! Tomorrow I finish the toner cabinet, get rid of the boxes a manager left behind when he retired, and then I will advise by email, my manager that I need work. I am caught up and I am capable. Time to step back up to the plate.

Things have been peaceful at the Crochetlady house. Boundaries in place, but DH is working at them too. When things are upsetting him, he is not reacting in complete anger and I am validating his feelings. We had a perfect example of that yesterday. I received a phone call to start the Third Thursday crochet group again. It was a voice mail-cause I missed the phone call. I called back without talking to DH-not that he had a problem with me doing it. But that it would mean a schedule change and how would we work with the knitting and going out to eat and just general courtesy type with him since this is long term commitment. No major blowup, but lots of talking, validating and then poof, it was over. Hmmm-this is soo much nicer!! :-)

He also understands the fact that I need my down time-I haven't really been taking it recently. I can feel the stress in my back and neck. I told him tonight that I will need to take it tomorrow night. I have two books to read, The last of the 'clan of the cave bear' series is the one that will be the challenge. It is thick and he said that is one that would have me gone for the whole weekend!! The other book is one of Debbie MacComber's latest. Both are hardcovers and were bought Friday night.

I forgot to mention that after our disasterous dinner, we walked to Barnes&Nobel bookstore and did some mild purchasing. Then walked to Bed Bath & Beyond for a couple of things. By this time my feet were letting me know that they had had enough. We made it home before the rain, But it was fun strolling down the sidewalk holding hands and acting a little silly. People did look at us funny since Dh was in his wheelchair, but it was a peaceful, fun time. (I know its been so long since I have been able to type like this.)

He came into work today, and I think that his body is have adjustment issues. He wanted to take a nap at lunchtime!

Things have been going smoothly, some of it is because of the reading we are doing at night. He had some misconceptions of the LDS religion and I was blind to his confusion. He holds some blame also-he didn't speak up. (then again he could be just leading me on-if he is, it is to his detriment.)

So, to all of my 3 readers, for once, peacefulness in my heart. OH yeah, I am up to $37. (counted the change-had more than I thought. Still opening it up-if nothing else will be great for Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary gifts!)
