Time marches on

It's Monday. The weather is pleasant. I don't want to be here. The cold kept me up coughing. Nyquil didn't even stop it. The chest congestion is breaking up and coughing is the bodies way of getting rid of it. ICH. I know. Doesn't make for restful sleep. But I made it in to work. Even though I really want to go back to sleep. Hey, can I sleep at my desk for a couple of hours? Think anyone will notice? ;-)

Weekend wasn't bad except this cold kept me sleeping all day Saturday. If I sat down o the couch for 3 minutes, I was asleep. No, I didn't overdose on cold medicine either. DH thought I just didn't want to be with him! Then realized that I was still really sick. Not running a fever thank heavens, so I figure body is really fighting this bug like a normal person does. Good to know that my body can do this without me ending up in hospital.

And I still made it to work today!!! Just want to really wake up and feel energized. Oh well, that will come I am sure. Just not today!

We talked to DGD last night. She didn't talk about her 'grounding' and we didn't bring it up. But she did talk about how she is rereading alot of her books. And going through others that she doesn't need to keep anymore. Ones from when she was first learning to read. She is excited about entering 6th grade-middle school. School will start at 9 and end after 3. She will ride a bus to school. She will get to sleep later, or do homework in the morning! Papa & I discouraged that idea. Said it was good for test review, but homework was best done night before. She is still in idea lab. She said a group of 90 students is now down to 45. Kids drop out because they have to keep up with regular classwork and the extra work. I told her it was good to keep up with it since it will keep her brain working hard and use to working hard. Her mom gives her the option of not going if she wants, but DGD wants to go. I'm glad she does. The more she challenges herself now, the easier it will be for her later when the harder challenges show up.

Well, that's it for now. I am awake. Now to work.

Oh, $60 saved. Will be opening account today or tomorrow. And will be adding to it regularly.
