What a Difference

My boss started her vacation today. She will be out of office all next week.

What a difference when I unlocked the door to my office. I still have a lot of work to do. I still have things piled up, and stressful stuff-nothing I can't handle. But I was relaxed about it. I walked in with a smile.

And I want to apply for a job that I know will have me in her unit. OH BOY! But that is the only way to get out of this position for the forseable future. (no guarantee that I will get it, but I will still try.)

Monday we have a meeting that will be discussing a reorganization that has been in the works for almost two years. In addition to that, on Thursday a building person came into the front office saying that he needed to measure the office that 'Ann' was going to be moving into. That office is where my boss is sitting. That is my branch chief, or my boss's office. Uh, unless the reorg removes me from my boss, I know who my new boss is going to be. And I get along better with her than I ever did my current boss. She treats me like I do have knowledge. Even if it isn't the same as everyone elses. It is still knowledge. Not to mention that she comes from my hometown-Lawrence MA. Found that out by mistake.

Oh, by the way, it has been 3 weeks since I have been out of work. I have broke records. the last time I called out was 2 days after I fell.
