I Had heard a rumour

I had heard a rumour, but it was by a Barnes & Noble employee. Borders was looking for a buyer. Ok, they had filed Chapter 11-reorganization bankruptcy. That was expected. This morning I had an email on my phone. (I love that about my phone. I get to read my emails so much easier!) I belong to Borders Rewards. Great sales etc. BORDERS IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!!! They could not find a buyer that would meet the terms of the bankruptcy. Need to use the Borders Bucks by end of month. I know I have some. S**t, that means we are stuck buying at B&N. I really don't like them-we will go out of our way to go to Borders over B&N! Now B&N can jack up their prices-they already are more expensive than Borders on alot of items. And their stores are not as friendly!!!! Or handicap accessable-check out their magazine rack in DC stores. (Don't know about their other stores). Books a Million in DC is even worse-handicap entrance is really hidden through another store and no signs to it! Can I stomp my feet now and pout!!

Ok, end of Rant! [not end of pout but ya'll can't see that;)]

Not much else is new here. Went to crochet meeting-one of the women is making a bedroll mat out of plastic bags. The mat will be given to a homeless person. I may do the same. I have a box of bags that my sister sent me when I was making crocheted bags out of them. Still thinking this over.

One of the ladies is going on a mission-she is older and has been on her own for quite awhile. Pat is a sweetheart. She leaves in September. This was the last time I will be seeing her before she leaves.

It is still hot-heat index right now at 6:42 am is 95. Expected to reach 102 to 110 today.
