I had great session last week! I had a weekend to review my past work performance and to take a hard look at myself and where I am going.

I am requesting a meeting with you to review the following items:

1)What are your expections of someone in my positions besides the following: a) I am here. b) Time input and review. c) Taking and typing meeting minutes. d) Travel & supply spreadsheets. e) Filing.

2) What duties/items can I HELP you with on a regular basis in an administrative capacity? What actions can I do to demonstrate my commitment?

3) Career Development-What's the Buzz? (program at work). I am committed to improving my ranking from one 4 and rest 3s in my critical elements to all 5s. I am capable of this work. I will need assistance and guidance in this goal.

I know that this is alot of work. I know that I will need assistance. I am committed to this.

I have edited it a little and sent it. This is my step. The email is saved. I have sat in my little corner for too long and have not been proactive. Every day I am going to do AT LEAST ONE ITEM THAT IS PROACTIVE FOR MY CAREER.

The young lady that was detailed to 'my position' earlier this year got the job that I tried out for. It was fair. And my own fault so it is time I got off my duff.
