Dr. Visit

My asthma has been acting up since trip to Il. Doc called back the other day and wanted me to visit before work either yesterday or today. I went this morning. He is changing my daily preventative inhaler-He said there is a record of it becoming ineffective after long term use. I have been on it since it came out. He also put me on prednisone (steroid). I get real witchy on that! So hopefully that will help ease everything along. He did breath test-which he said was better than he thought it would be, based on what he heard when he listened to my lungs. Good thing is that there doesn't appear to be any type of infection. Just tightness. Prednisone works fast to clear things up. Just makes me everything in sight-turns off appetite control. Whole chickens disappear-and I am still HUNGRY! Oh well, self control will have to be exercised, and lots and lots of water will be drunk. Fill up the stomach!

Anyway, I hope that this takes care of the asthma again. The name of the new med is Dulera. The sample he gave me will last a month! He also gave me a card to activate so that the company pays part of the cost, including my copay! Hmm-wonder how expensive this stuff really is! I asked it insurance covers it and he stated that most do. We will see. I will need to activate the card before DH brings script in!

I did make it to work with in the 2 hours leave I had asked for. Just barely! Bus system works, couldn't use train system-too much walking and breathing not the best today-heavy air with the high humidity! More rain!
