Are they Adults?

For 2 weeks I have been telling 35 people to make sure that their time for this time period is turned in to me timely. If they are going to be on leave, send it to me. Today, 4 people still didn't send it. One person sent me an email with no attachment, 2 went on leave and nothing at all, and the other well, she's a prima donna. 3 of these people are in the same group. The other is a manager who reports to my manager-could thing I had access to the leave calendar!!! I am one of the few secretaries who allow their people as long as I do to send the time sheets in. Most want it by Wednesday morning, I tell them close of business Wednesday. And I understand changes. I also told them that if they were going to be on leave, send me the time sheets early and I would keep them on hand. There were other problems with the sheets. These are all employees who are making more than I do. By a long shot. They get REAL UPSET if their pay or leave gets messed up.

I think that in January I am going to get myself on the calendar for each of the 5 groups I do time for and stress the facts of timekeeping. One group is really good, but that is because the manager cracks the whip if the timesheets are not ACCURATE! He comes from a 'floor' background and understands what the timekeeper needs.

Ok, enough of a rant. Just got fed up with adults who think that its not that important to turn in time sheets!!
