happy Holiday

Happy Holiday!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! B decided I needed new clothes. He did pretty good. He actually was paying attention when I pointed out outfits that I liked. And they fit. He even tried to buy me a pair of dress boots. Didn't fit-my right calf is too wide, but that was a long shot any way. No electronics (shucks).

He liked the gifts I got him. And I managed to surprise him. I do hope he actually uses the camera!

Anyway, he had stayed home to clean on Friday. Yeah, nothing got done, so Saturday I baked and helped clean, and Sunday morning we did alot of cleaning. Then he cooked. Good thing our company was a little late.

And I found out something about my husband. He is jealous. I learned how to draw people out. How to make conversation, how to get people to talk about themselves and where they've been etc. I did this with our company, W. W traveled to Brazil, and Hungary. He enjoys food, and enjoys talking about himself. So I didn't have hard work. Add in a couple of glasses of Brut champagne and conversation flowed. B wasn't comfortable since he wasn't the only center. I tried to include him, but according to him, "I couldn't get a word in edgewise." Um, no, he wasn't trying to join the conversation in progress, he would try to change it to something about himself. And it didn't work, cause we weren't talking about B, we were talking about Brazil, or Hungary or W's brother and sister in law or something else! I didn't do it on purpose. Honestly.

I did find out something. Next time we have someone over, it will need to be a couple and no alcohol at all. Though I enjoyed the wine, I do become friendly-not inappropriate.

So, yesterday was spent smoothing ruffled feathers. Do not ask me why he thinks I would ever find another one just like him attract enought to leave him for? W is another B. I mean, someone who has lived in an efficiency apartment for 20 years? Alone. And stated up front "I am a loner." There is my husband. All over. Nope. (NOT THAT I AM LOOKING, FOLKS, BUT B MADE A COMMENT ABOUT THAT!

Did realize something else. I cannot count on B to do what he promises. If I am sick and cannot clean house or bake and he says that he will 'cover' it, he won't-at least not until I am able to work too. Then its haul a** to get it all done. No more. Though the living room and garden room do look quite nice.
