for Today

Ok, bad news comes in threes, right? Today we learned that MY boss's neice died. Ok, enough already. No more now.

There that's out of the way.

Things are going smoothly this morning. In fact, was so busy, didn't even realize that I was hungry, till I looked up and it was lunch time. Ok, I am coming down with something. And I CANNOT CALL OUT SICK. I have the classic cold symptoms. Scratchy throat, post nasal drip, watery eyes, achy feeling and slight temp. Tonight will be restful. I will make supper and get into real compfy robe. And that's about it. Probably drink alot of Red rooiboos tea with honey. Hmmm-can I go home and do that now?

We are suppose to get rain, but nothing happening yet-good. Please wait till I get home, Please!!

I am working on a prayer shawl for Lucy. It is a shawl pattern that I like working on, soft yarn-baby yarn. Solid baby blue with white stripes. Every row I say a prayer. I need to get that done this week. It is energy consuming this way, however, worth it.

Starting Thursday and all next week, I will be sitting at the division secretary's desk while she is on leave. She is going on a cruise. (I felt like telling her to bring me back a souvenier, but I was really polite and just said ok.) I found out by accident last Thursday when I was confirming that I was covering her position last Friday. Nope. Oh, well, what else is new.

Did get a freebie last night. In the 'throw away room'. A wood desk and chair set. Light oak in color. Solid build, the only thing we could find wrong with it were the draw pulls spun around abit. I am thinking that wood glue will take care of that problem. The desk will fit very nicely in the garden room and will give me my own desk area. B has the computer desk. I feel like an invader every time I sit at it. This is mine, and once the tree comes down-this week, it will be my space!
