sweater

I have been working on B's sweater. And finally got to a point where the end of the ball of yarn and end of row were just about the same. I transferred the sweater to a long piece of yarn and had B try it on. IT FITS!!!!!!! Yes, there may be some minor tweaking-I may need to make it longer than the pattern calls for, but the body is over half way done! I see the couple of mistakes in the pattern I made, but he doesn't. Oh, well. but the body fits and looks good. Not too baggy, not tight. Now to get the yarn to finish the body, sleeves and collar!!

In the meantime I have started a basketweave pattern knitted throw for DD end of bed type of thing in black and gray. I will probably make a matching one in brown and steel blue-gray that she will like. Simple patterns are what she likes and has in her living room, but still with texture.

For my monthly crochet class-I am back to teaching mode. Really teaching. I need to redevelope the class materials I had before. I have very basic people, and one is trying to do baby socks without have a knowledge of stitches and doing it without a pattern. I have told her to get some simple yarn, but she gets expensive sock yarn.Doesn't want to listen at all. Oh, well, at least she learned basic stitch last week, though it took all 2 hours to do it and she was mad that I ripped up her work, and she was using someone else's regular yarn and hook.
