This too shall become passe'.

With great fanfare, an act in California was passed forbidding talking on cell phones---and texting---while driving. Well, I see a lot of actual cell phones and not blue "teeth" in the actual ears of would-be drivers whizzing by me every day.

Keeping on with motoring, I don't know if this was for Los Angeles City/County or the state but drivers making turns are supposed to let pedestrians (ahem) attain the curb before finishing the turn. To my shame, I fudge this one also. Okay, I can say the driver behind me is itchy.

We are not supposed to put electrical items in the trash, but in my work I see it all the time. A quite typical example was a small fan such as would be found on a bus dashboard, and it was except now it was in the trash can, was being thrown out by mechanics. I slam the entire mess into my collection bag, looking the other way. Well, my office has often looked bad enough and I'll just be accumulating more and more junk until I contact the appropriate department which takes a month or so to get to the call. I watched someone dump an entire vacuum cleaner into a trash can twenty steps away from me.

What is it? We're an over regulated but under common sensed society? Let the next person down (or up) take care of it? Our problems go beyond what's on political stationary.
