Makes you want to have what they're having.

During the last years Dad made a remark, as recounted by Mom, that Dr. Phil was pornography. There's something we could agree upon. The "doctor" has a case for being in the top five Letterman guest slot totals, and the web makes me ashamed how lazy I am in that I could probably look this up right now.

No, this is about the actual content, snicker, and when Dr. Phil is on The Late Show it doesn't attain the level of sarcasm between fearless host and the famed appearances of Charles Grodin. But the case could be made.

The certain-brand anti-depressant ads finally stopped showing up on the web cast early in the week, and what do you know, on Friday quick draw McGraw is "seizing" an opportunity to notch up on Dave, ask him psychological questions as sensitive as the show's writers can conjure without going over the established line for the episode, and get him to admit he does go to counseling and uses---anti-depressants. Hey, that was one sentence.

In a slow month I could be a Dr. Phil guest: sneaky narcissists, literary division. As long as I could be in on the writing.

Product placement may take more effort.
