She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Productivity Abounds

So here I am, contentedly ensconced in Barnes & Noble, alternately reading a _Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror_ and working on a short story. Or maybe two, because I had a couple of sentences for another story pop into my head. It would be nifty to get them both done, as they’re both in pieces already. At some point I’ll toddle next door to Chili’s and have lunch. Ken should be done work by 2 or so, and then we’ll head to Teresa’s.

I keep forgetting to mention a bit of annoying news. Ken will have to go to a big meeting next Wednesday in Portland. Essentially, he has to fly out as soon as we arrive at the airport on Tuesday! Argh. He’ll be home Thursday, though. But, I mean, jeez. When he started to tell me, I thought he was going to tell me he’d have to fly back early from here, so at least it wasn’t that bad.

Dang! Quite productive.More than I’ve done in a long time. Yay me. Now I know to take the laptop to B&N more often!
