She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Dupioni silk

We spent the first part of the day in the Fabric District, buying royal blue and spring green dupioni silk to make a houppelande and a cotehardie for Twelfth Night. We went with Maren and Thorin and met up with Donna Lettow. Afterwards, M&T hung out here and swam in the chilly pool and ate pizza and we did some sewing. Ken’s working on his gold doublet. I finished a Celtic over-tunic and dyed an old leine that’s going to become a t-tunic, and made a cotehardie pattern for Marin. Thorin made two pairs of linen pants. They’ll both be over on Monday night to move ahead on projects. We don’t seem to be needed at the War site on Monday, so we’re going to stay home and sew and find our camping stuff and that sort of thing.

Tried to watch "Camelot" but it was just too silly and we all ended up just talking.

A good day, but we got up way too early and now it's late and we have to get up tomorrow morning… Blah.
