Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Working

Did a little food shopping; current plan for Friday is to have a picnic in the living room (egg salad and avocado on wheat pitas, veggies and dip, pickles, etc.) and then wrap some Yule presents. And pack for Saturday. Our Barony’s Yule event is in the afternoon/evening, but Maren and Lasairfhiona and I are going up early to the Women’s Spirit Faire. Witchy Babe bonding is always a good thing.

I also copy edited a journal article and started a second one. Another thrilling day, eh? But I guess I have to have normal days once in a while, to balance out days where we’re touring Europe on the bike or other such wild stuff.

I felt a little, I don’t know, maudlin tonight, but I bested it by working through it, answering e-mails and such. I was tired, and I still am. But now I want to do something, and I can’t put my finger on what.
