She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward

And bite their little heads off

ALNM: 0
exercise: Maypole dancing

Ah, the end of another busy weekend. Of course, I’m tired, so this may not be the most detailed of entries.

Saturday morning Ken went to a job fair and I went to the fabric district with two other “old timers” and three newcomers. It was fun, although a little frustrating not to be able to buy anything for myself (other than some cord for The Project That Cannot Be Mentioned). I did, however, get to spend money on another newcomer who couldn’t come on the trip, but had a list of stuff she needed. So I got to fondle raw silk and linen, at least.

Ken joined us, and we finished our purchases, and then I hopped on the bike with him and we went to Meg & Matt’s for dinner. They ordered Indian food and Meg & I went off to pick it up. It proved quite yummy. We’d originally planned to spend the night, but I see I already talked about that in the last entry, so I’ll hush now. Anyway, we came home and fell over pretty swiftly.

Unfortunately, for the second night in a row, Eclipse yarked up all the food she’d eaten all day, so I got her more food and sat with her and made sure she ate. Poor wee thing. This doesn’t bode well.

Today we went to Andrés’ & Kate’s wedding, which was quite lovely. We got to see lots of friends, and celebrate the joyous union of two good friends. The event was in a park, and the feast was under trees, so it got a bit chilly, but otherwise it was fine. Lots of food. Good friends. And we danced the Maypole, which I’d never done before! (What kind of pagan am I?!)

Then we shot back down south to put in an appearance at a local event, Baron’s Feast. We spent maybe an hour and a half there. I was still full from the wedding feast, but I did munch on some pork crackling. And I downed a ton of water, because the wedding feast had offered many types of wine that unfortunately were mead-like, and lemonade. Although the lemonade was fine and I drank a lot, it didn’t hydrate me like water does.

Then we came home, stripped, and soothed away the tensions of driving and running around with a soak in the hot tub. After that, it was Charmed, and a little computer work, and I’ve taken a shower. Bed soon. Last night we were in bed before 10; tonight it’ll be before 10:30. I hate being this wiped out. I hope we all (especially Eclipse) has a restful night.
