Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Deliciously eccentric

And continuing in the remembering-what-I-keep-forgetting department, I also didn’t get to spend nearly enough time with all our friends from Gyldenholt. I mentioned a couple, but in fact there are too many to list. I hope to hell nobody felt slighted by the omission.

Took Charlie to the vet this morning for a follow-up on her toes (almost healed), and took Eostre because she has granuloma on her lower lip _again_, so now she’s on antibiotics as well. Oy.

The office has the most warped floor of any in the house. (By “warped” I mean not flat, not that it’s insane…) Even though Ken did everything he could to make the desk (which is large and U-shaped) level, I’m still sitting at an angle, and the monitor is at an angle. I can’t decide if this is annoying or deliciously eccentric, like something a character played by Joan Cusack would love.

What shall I do for Dark Moon tonight? [ponder, ponder]

I just created a 62-song playlist for the party. And that’s not even going through all of the artists on our iTunes; some of the heavy metal ones will be Ken’s job. Impressive!

A few more hundred words on the story. Having trouble concentrating today. The encroaching deadline will no doubt light a fire under my butt tomorrow. :-)
