She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Fat cat

Words Written: AETW: 584

I considered going to B&N this afternoon, but we had to leave Grimoire at the vet, and when they call to say we can pick him up, I want to be able to shoot right over there. He’s probably fine, but he was showing a few symptoms of a urinary problem, and I’m just a tad paranoid. The vet felt he seemed healthy enough, but they couldn’t get any pee out of him, so he’s sequestered for a while.

Oh, and it’s official: I have the fattest cat in the neighborhood. He’s 19 lbs.

Turns out the expensive prescription food that he’s on—which is for urinary problems, I might add—is not as diet as it professes to be.

Just got word that a story made it through the first pass at an anthology. Coolness. It’s an older story, but I think it fits the antho well.

Ah ha! An idea for a Battlecorps.com story just hit me. Main character, emotional arc, main scenes. I just need to check on a few details. Cool.

AETW still wants to kick my ass. Time to kick back.

Still not a great writing day, but I fought with it, so I’m pleased about that. [Later note: I wrote half of that in bed, with pen and pad of paper. Sometimes you just gotta change the medium.]

Grimoire is home. He has a bladder infection. He’ll be fine. He’s still fat, though.
