Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Playlist Suggestions

Okay, I’ve decided I need a music playlist to listen to as I write Designed for Love. Here’s your opportunity to help me create it!

The rules are simple. The book’s an erotic romance, so I want sexy songs. Songs that make you (and, ideally, me) feel sexy. Songs that inspire the ol’ bump-and-grind. Songs that make me want to dig out my zils and dance.

Either the music itself or the lyrics can qualify. Songs can be any genre of music except rap/hiphop (country will also be a hard sell).

Bonus points if I already own the album; if not, helpful if I can buy the song from iTunes. (Please don’t send me music files and make me have to lecture about copyright.)

What I’ve got so far (totally off the top of my head):

  • I’ll Be There in a Minute (Lawrence Gowan)
  • Moonlight Desires (Lawrence Gowan)
  • I Don’t Need No Doctor (Styx)
  • The Thin Line (Queensryche)
  • Feel It (Kate Bush)
  • L’Amour Looks Something Like You (Kate Bush)
  • The Sensual World (Kate Bush)
  • Pour Some Sugar on Me (Def Leppard)
  • Kashmir (Led Zeppelin)
  • Marrakesh Night Market (Loreena McKennitt)
Go forth and make suggestions!
