She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

I woke up early today, and couldn’t get back to sleep. Oh, the indignity of it all. Especially after getting to bed late last night. (I’m a little scared to look at yesterday’s entry—was I coherent?) I ended up having time to get a little writing done before I left for work. Shocking.

Interview with my friend and fellow OCW-er Loren Coleman here.

A good writing evening, and I finished Chapter 11! Things went much longer than expected, so the chapter of “hot monkey love,” as we’ve been calling it, will be Chapter 12 instead. (I’m in charge of that chapter. Good thing Ken’s home…) We’re at 49,000 words out of a required 70,000, so we’re well on track.

I’m working at home tomorrow so I can go to a hair appt and take Afalwen in to get fixed and hopefully buy an iCurve and cordless keyboard and mouse. Toys! New toys!

Ken’s out right now looking at a used Powerbook. I suspect he’ll come home with it. It would be nice if that were soon… (Five minutes later: He’s home, and he has his new toy! Which includes the Tiger disks, so upgrades are in my near future as well. Okay, enough with the Mac geek talk. Off to snuggle.)
