Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Twists and turns

Words written: “All About the Ratings” ~500

No writing on the carpool today-because Ken and I carpooled on the bike! It's a big crunch time here at work, and Ken, as well as Kirk's wife and the VP's daughter, are helping cross-reference the index pages of a soon-to-press multi-volume encyclopedia. I'm also helping, but trading off my set of pages with someone else so I can get other work done, too. We'll probably finish up tomorrow. At any rate, a lovely motorcycle ride up the coast this morning, and then lunch with my beloved (El Camino Real café, buffalo chicken sandwich for me and bbq tri tip wrap for him), and possibly a fun ride through the twisty hills on the way home. At which point I will dive into the short story I need to finish…

<>-<>-<>

Got about 500 words done on the story, and then Ken's mom and a friend arrived to crash for the night, and then it was past time to sleep, so we did.

(The twisty turny ride home was wonderful, too.)
