Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Nothing new

Words Written: dammit

Survived Dental Hell. First part was awful, but by the end it was okay. Onwards and upwards.

Worked all day (work stuff, alas, not writing. But it was a work-at-home day), with brief breaks for food and a little TV. Had a long talk with Ken about the future and my writing. I continue to have The Best Husband Ever™. I mean, he took the time to come up to Oregon and talk with Kris and Dean so he could better understand what I’m going through, what I’m trying to do, and how the process works—and he applies that understanding when I need to talk things through.

My mouth is doing pretty well, so we ended up going out to dinner with Morgana and Brian. I can recommend Friday’s sizzling chicken and shrimp—good bruschetta-type sauce, tender chicken, a little cheese, and green-onion–topped mashed potatoes. Yum.

Work tomorrow, so I shall end this sorry excuse for a journal entry…
