Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Vampiric

I’d like to say Angelina has nothin’ on me, but I’m guessing her knife play was a bit more graceful.

Remember those pretty shiny Wustof-Trident knives? Um, yeah. I was slicing up meat for beouf bourguignon, thinking about how the knife was very sharp and I needed to be careful…right before I cut myself on the inner curve of the first knuckle of my right pinkie. Three stitches. And a tetanus shot. Sigh.

No real typing until the big bandage comes off Thursday night. Thankfully, stitches are due out next Friday, so we’ll be able to leave for Phoenix as planned. But of course this happens the day before Ken leaves for a week in Korea.

Anyway. The next couple days will involve research and reading, but little typing. Please don’t e-mail and make me feel guilty about no responding!

Oh, and I’m CSI-geeky enough to come home and note there was still blood on the tip of the knife. Heh.
