Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Words Written: Monday DFL~200; Tuesday 0

Never posted on Monday. Here’s a brief, slowly typed update. (There are too many p’s in that sentence. P’s are hard to type.)

Monday I mailed an anthology story, the Wicked Words contracts (Teresa sold her solo story, too! Yay!), and the overseas (plus a few more) Yule presents. I got in my daily exercise with a brisk walk to PO. In the evening, Ken and I went to Borders to use up our gift cards. I got Cherie Priest’s Four & Twenty Blackbirds and several Yule gifts. Ken got a Led Zeppelin DVD. They had none of the Cheek books I was looking for, grr, argh. We went to BJ’s Brewery for supper and then grocery shopping.

Today I went to work for three meetings and ended up in a fourth that lasted way too long. Breakfast at 8 a.m. and “lunch” at 4 p.m. is a bad schedule for me. Then I nicked my finger (American meaning of nicked, not British. I didn’t steal my own finger.), and you know the rest. It doesn’t really hurt, BTW, so all is well.

That’s enough typing. Bed now.

What Have I Done Today to Make My Writing Dream Come True? See above.
Currently Reading: between books
Lately Listened To: Xmas carols in my head (really, they made the whole big-needle-with-Novocain thing much easier)
Recently Watched: The Triangle (not great, but not awful, plus it’s got Sam Neill and Eric Stoltz and Lou Diamond Phillips)
