JF: Hello everyone, I'm Jim Farris and this is "Doug's World". I'm you host, Jim Farris.

Today on "Doug's World" we will travel back in time, not once but twice.
This gets a little confusing, but it's "Doug's World" so what did you expect?

First we will magically move threw the corridor of time to 2003, summer, July exactly, to visit the old "Silly Thinking" of Douglas Lain. Yes, there was a time when Douglas Lain ran "ST" and his material ran daily, it's hard to imagine now, now that Doug's gone, gone to a place (as Nancy Reagan says of her husband: "a place far away where I can no longer reach him") that we can't see or feel. So we will first stop at July 11th, 2003 and see that Doug was feeling nostalgic for another time, a decade earlier.

And so we will then wisk even further back in time to 1994 when Doug and his wonderful movie reviewer and all his strange musings were contained in the sort of forefather of "Silly Thinking": "Diet Soap".

So buckle up and hold your breath for two trips on the "Silly Thinking" time machine here on "Doug's World".
