The Road To The Conventions
Here, from Silly Thinking’s New York World News Headquarters in New York, is your host, Connie Chung.

CC: Good evening and welcome to “Road To The Conventions” . I’m Connie Chung.

With the Democratic Convention due to begin in Boston one week from today, with extensive team coverage from all of us at STNews, we thought we’d look back on how we got to this point in history by looking back at the Democratic process, by looking at the primary season.
Tonight lets look at our Super Tuesday coverage, as it happened, live, right here at ST.

------------------------------------------------------

THIS IS SILLY THINKING BREAKING NEWS:

SUPER SUPER TUESDAY: KERRY WINS MASS., CONN., MARYLAND.

From our New York World News Campaign Headquarters in New York here is Connie Chung.

CC: Good evening again. The polls just closed in three eastern states and Silly Thinking has projected John Kerry the winner in his home state of Massachusetts, neighboring state of Connecticut, and Maryland with a two to one margin.
We have some breaking news from our breaking news desk. Here is Silly Thinking’s Breaking News desk analyst… just a moment… I have to interrupt myself.

THIS IS SILLY THINKING BREAKING NEWS.

EDWARDS LEAVES THE RACE.

FROM OUR NEW YORK WORLD NEWS CAMPAIGN HEADQUARTERS--CONNIE CHUNG.

CC: Good evening. And we're back with more Silly Thinking coverage.
We've just received word that John Edwards will quit his campaign for President of the United States.
John Edwards is speaking now.

John says pundits and pollsters are wrong and he was running for President at a time when they said he wouldn’t.
John says that in November George Bush will be out of the White House.
John says people are desperate.
John says they want a better life.
They want a country they can believe in and pass down to their children and grandchildren.

CC: Ah, ah, ah...caught you. I didn't say "John Says!"
Anyhow...

John says he will fight everyday. John says civil rights have touched our souls and he is proud they did that together. John thanks everyone across America. John believes in bringing people together.
John says that you and I will work together. Thank you.

CC: This just in. John Edwards did not leave the race yet, but Silly Thinking knows he will. I am hearing now that Edwards will make it official tomorrow. John Edwards has nothing to be ashamed of, does he, Bill Pullman?

BP: No, Connie, he doesn’t. He has made a good showing, really challenged Kerry. John has done a good job for the democrats.

CC: Shut up now. Were getting some tape of Kerry watching Edwards.

There he is watching the TV. He’s smiling. He looks intense and is smiling. He is smiling and there is Senator Kennedy, the massive Senator from Massachusetts.

CC: My God he’s huge! Look out lady he may fall! Oh my God.

This just in. Apparently before Senator Edwards spoke to the crowd he called John Kerry and they both congratulated each other for being influential white men.
We will return with more as events warrant. See you later.

THIS HAS BEEN SILLY THINKING BREAKING NEWS.
