ST1on1 with Connie Chung.

Here, from our New York World News Headquarters in New York is Connie Chung.

CC: Good afternoon and welcome to “1on1” I’m Connie Chung.
Today my guests are the “first daughters” of the first couple, George and Laura Bush, “The Bush Twins” Barbara and Jenna. These two savvy 22 year olds have emerged from the shadows to help in their dad’s re election campaign, and join me now.
Good afternoon Barbara.

BB: Good morning Connie.

CC: Good afternoon Jenna.

JB: Good morning Connie Chung.

CC: Barbara, let me start with you. Why now? Why have you decided to become pawns in the savage contest of a presidential election?

BB: Well, uhm, you know, everywhere we go, and everywhere we went, particularly in college, we kept hearing that dad was so screwed. And we were like ‘no he’s not’ he’s so cool. So we decided to help him.

CC: Jenna, what do you and your sister plan to do to help your father’s re-election bid?

JB: well, uhm, you know, go out and speak and stuff. I mean all the young should vote for my dad, because he’s so, you know, right about everything. My dad rocks!

BB: Yeah, he rocks!

CC: Barbara are you planning your campaign appearances or are White House strategists mapping out your schedule?

BB: What?

CC: Are you and your sister deciding where to go or are others planning it out?

BB: I mean, you know, it’s like, you know, Uncle Roger is so stoked and he, like, you know, says, like, why don’t you go to such and such. And like, sometimes we say, like “No. We don’t want to go there and shit.”

CC: Uncle Roger?

JB: Roger Ailes. He’s my dad’s, something, I mean I don’t know what his job is and everything, but he is like, helping my dad and shit, and he tells us what to do and shit.

BB: Yeah Uncle Roger is so cool and shit.

CC: Jenna, have you had much contact with the Vice President’s daughter. I know she is also working on the campaign.

JB: Right. Duhh. Whatever. No. I mean we see her sometimes, and she is so, like I don’t know, serious and shit. I mean she looks at me and stares a hole in my head and shit. She looks so hard at me.

BB: Yeah, she really looks intense. When we were in the elevator once, she just looked at me so long and hard. And I said “Hi” and shit, and she just stared. It was kinda weird. I mean she’s nice and shit, but kinda weird.

CC: Now Barbara, before we go, I have to ask you about the story a few years ago about you two being arrested for drinking.

BB: Yeah, well, I mean it was a complete misunderstanding. I mean, we fixed it all up and everything’s fine now. I mean, we have drank sometimes, but were clean right now. I mean we haven’t dranking anything today or shit.

JB: No and if anyone said we did and shit, they’re lying and shit.

CC: Girls, thank you for being with us today.

JB: Go Bush. I love Bush in ’04.

BB: I love Bush! Vote for my dad!

CC: I’m sure you both love Bush. I’m sure you do. Mary Kate and Ashley everyone.
