Hello, and welcome to ST's One on One. I'm Douglas Lain. This week ST sought out presidential hopeful and red commie Walt Brown for an exclusive one on one interview, but we didn't find him. Instead we spoke to some guy on the phone at the Socialist Party headquarters. Let's watch shall we?

I'm seeking the future president of the United States...Walt Brown. Is this the Socialist Party?


Yeah, yeah...this is the Socialist Party of Portland. Who are you looking for?

Walt's not here. He's campaigning in Minnesota.


Oh. Well, may I talk to you, comrade?

In your estimation how is Socialism faring in the United States?


We're doing okay. We just updated our email list, and started an electronic newsletter.


Do you feel that change can come from the ballot box, or do you think that the eventual revolution will be violent?


Uh....yes?


Interesting. Do you like the belly dancer?
