This is BREAKING NEWS From ST!

Here, from the sight of the first Presidential Debate, University of Miami in Florida, is Connie Chung.

CC: Good morning to the west coast and good afternoon to the east.
In a just concluded press conference scientists with the U.S. Geological Society have confirmed that Mt. St. Helens will explode again. It is no longer “if” but “when”. Yesterday the scientists surveying the mountain raised the Volcano alert to “2”, the second highest level short of an imminent eruption. This was because earthquakes increased to about 2 every minute with a Richter scale reading as high as 2.8.
In the last twenty four hours the number of quakes on the mountain have increased to about four per minute topping out at 3.5 on the Richter scale. Now they say there is a 75% chance of an eruption, scientists are quick to confirm the imminent eruption will not be as large as the 1980 eruption and could happen in hours, days or weeks.
ST’s Douglas Lain, who shoots his popular series “4 Is Not Enough” in Portland, Oregon joins us now.
Good afternoon Doug.

DL: What. Oh…. Good morning Connie.

CC: Doug, what are you doing to prepare for what now is considered inevitable?

DL: Uhm, oh… what?

CC: What are you doing to prepare for the eruption of Mount ST. Helens?

DL: Yes, well.. it isn’t supposed to be as big. I don’t think it will have any impact on the publishing of my new book next year.

CC: No, Doug, how are you and your family getting ready?

DL: I mean my new book, “Last Week's Apocalypse “ is coming out next year at $27.00 per from Night Shade Books Press.

CC: Are you concerned for your wife and children?

DL: They’re fine. Their in the other room watching “Bob Square Sponge Pants” in the other room.

CC: Thank you, Doug Lain.

DL: My new book “Last Week's...".

CC: This is a very busy news day. We are in Florida for the first Presidential debate tonight. We’ll be back this afternoon with a Special Preview of the debate with Bill Pullman and myself, and a Special Report following the debate for analysis, and of course we’ll keep you updated on the Mt. St. Helen’s coming eruption.
For now, I’m Connie Chung. Be seeing you.
