CC: Good morning. ABC news anchor Peter Jennings has died at the age of sixty seven from lung cancer. Peter was diagnosed in April. His family issued a statement saying that “Peter knew he lived a good life..” and that he died at peace with family around him.
The ABC News family has already issued a special report expressing their great sense of loss.
On a personal note: I worked at ABC news with Peter starting in 1997. He was the anchor and I was demoted to the Saturday “World News Tonight” anchor, and worked on some special reports.
We were often in the same room.
