STNews presents

This is BREAKING NEWS From ST!

Here, from STSpace Control at The Kennedy Space Center in Florida, is ST Chief Science Editor: Connie Chung.

CC: Good morning. The Space Shuttle’s return to ground has been delayed. Originally the shuttle was to land at approximately 4:45 am, eastern standard time. The next window would have been at 6:18 am, eastern. But because of weather concerns, and out of respect for Peter Jennings, NASA has scrubbed the landing today and will try again tomorrow morning.
Junior Science editor Jim Farris joins me now. Good morning Jim.

JF: Good morning Connie.

CC: Yes. Jim, what will the astronauts do in space on this extra day?

JF: Good morning Connie. Yes, the astronauts do get an extra day in space. Connie.

CC: What will they do?

JF: Yes. Good morning Connie. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

CC: I hear you fine Jim, can you hear me?

JF: Yes. Good morning Connie.

CC: I think we are having a little audio problem with Jim….

JF: WEEE! Look at me. I CAN FLY!!!

CC: We will return as events warrant, and back tomorrow morning as America’s Return to Ground continues.

JF: I’m a little girl….
