STNews Update

Here is Connie Chung.

CC: Good morning. Yesterday Congressional Hearings began on FEMA's slow response to Hurricane Katrina. The hearings were chaired by a Republican and were comprised almost entirely of Republicans, the Democrats boycotted, favoring an independent review of FEMA.

Paid FEMA consultant and former head of the agency

Michael "Brownie" Brown testified about his participation, or lack there of, in the federal response. Brown said he was proud of the job FEMA has done in emergencies and praised his co-workers, he said the main problem for him was he could not find anybody in charge in New Orleans when he arrived.
Finally we are getting to the bottom of this mess.
