Ducky Event Cancelled, Poor Chipmunk

So, the Ducky DooLittle event that I was organizing was cancelled. Monday night, someone broke into the trunk of the car where Ducky's luggage was and stole everything -- her laptop, her camera, even her small taxidermied chipmunk she's been travelling with for years. She sounded absolutely devastated when she called me to tell me she was going back to NYC Tuesday night for damage control. Poor thing! I wanted to give her a hug.

If any of you happen to see the roadside crack addicts selling a small taxidermied chipmunk in San Francisco, you might consider buying it and sending it back to Ducky. I figure something like that might turn up in such a place, and I'd love to have something she loves that she lost come back to her.

Work is busy regardless. I was recently told I am now the video buyer, as well as book buyer, comix buyer, objet buyer, and, this week while Bekah is on vacation, toys buyer. I also edit Fishnet, buy office supplies and enter orders/ do customer service. One bright spot is that my boss decided to give advertising (my least favorite of my many hats before I was given video buying) to the new guy, Thomas, which is a load off. Of course, I have to train him now, but honestly I think his personality is much better suited to the job than mine was anyway.

Good times have been happening, and I should really blog about those soon. But for now, adieu!
